Dynamics 365 CRM for Government

Public requests, grant programs and approvals all run through your systems. We help make sure Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform keep up with them.

Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform for public-sector teams.

Overview

A Small Policy Change Should Not Need A Big IT Project.

Here is a familiar one. A department tweaks the eligibility rule for a grant. It is a single sentence in the policy. Then someone opens Dynamics 365 and finds that sentence wired into the intake form, three approval stages, the director’s monthly numbers and an old integration with no documentation. The fix that should take an afternoon takes a quarter. Meanwhile the phones keep ringing.

Our work is Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform. With government teams we usually start from a live environment, often one we didn’t build. Some weeks the job is repairing a flaky workflow. Other weeks it is getting the case system to talk to a twenty-year-old database, or finishing a project another vendor left behind. If something still works, it stays.

What Teams Get Stuck

Where Government Teams Get Stuck

Ask a public-sector team on Dynamics 365 CRM what slows them down and you’ll hear some version of these four. In a quiet month people work around them. During an intake window they cost days.

01

Requests Bounce Between Teams

Intake logs a request on a Tuesday. A program officer reads it and passes it to a reviewer, who turns out to be away until the end of the month. When the applicant calls ten days later, the front desk can’t tell them who has it.

What We Do:

From the minute intake logs a case, Dynamics 365 CRM shows whose it is. If nobody touches it for a set number of days, it goes up to the supervisor, who then hears about it before the applicant does.

02

Programs Run On Spreadsheets

Intake windows are the worst of it. Hundreds of applications pile into a shared inbox. One person ends up keeping the spreadsheet of what’s in and what’s missing. If they’re off sick that week, everything waits.

What We Do:

We run the whole program in Dynamics 365 CRM instead. Documents, eligibility checks, approvals and funding all hang off the application, right up to renewal. Every decision is written to the file, where the next reviewer will look.

03

Systems That Don't Talk

The case is in the CRM. Its history isn’t that’s in a departmental database, with the documents on a shared drive and the payment in finance. So officers retype the applicant’s details four times, and the fourth copy is the one with the typo.

What We Do:

Using Azure and Power Platform, we link Dynamics 365 CRM and Dataverse to those systems. Details get typed once, and none of the other systems has to be thrown out.

04

Reports Rebuilt By Hand

The director asks how many applications are waiting and which ones have slipped past the service standard. It sounds like a quick question, yet two analysts spend most of a week pulling the answer out of exports.

What We Do:

Our Power BI reports read directly from the systems where the work is done, which means the backlog is already on screen the next time someone asks.

What We Build

What We Build For Sports Organizations

An organization might need one of these, or several. They tend to fit together.

Dynamics 365 CRM

Case Management

Every request that comes in gets an owner, a status and a next step in Dynamics 365 CRM. A supervisor can open one view on Monday morning and see what’s waiting, and for how long.

Power Apps

Grants and Programs

We build grant programs on Power Apps. The application, the supporting letters, the eligibility check and the funding decision all live on one record. Next year’s renewal starts from it too.

Power Pages

Public Portal

We build the portal on Power Pages. Your applicant signs in and drops in the proof of address you asked for. The same page tells them if anything else is still to come.

Power Automate

Routing and Sign-Offs

When one reviewer signs off, Power Automate sends the file on to the next. Anyone who sits on it gets a nudge. Who approved what, and when, is saved.

Power BI

Operational Reporting

Somebody in the program office often loses a Thursday to Excel before each briefing. We hand that job to Power BI, which reads the source systems itself. The backlog number is the same in every report.

Copilot Studio

Answers for Staff

Every intake window brings new staff, and new staff ask the same question over and over: which form covers this? A Copilot Studio agent answers from your department’s approved procedures. Senior officers get their time back.

Partnerships

Modernize in Stages, Not All At Once

In most departments, some of the system still works fine and some of it holds everything back. Ripping the whole thing out to fix the slow parts puts working services at risk, and a full replacement can run for years.

So we pick the change that will help most, and do that first. It might be one approval workflow, one integration that keeps failing, or one process people still run on paper. Each change is its own stage, with its own plan and testing, and the department keeps serving the public while it happens. What you’ve paid for and still use stays. The constraints come off one at a time.

Services

How We Help Sports Organizations

All six of our services apply to sport. This is roughly where each one fits.

Managed Support & Maintenance

Support at any hour, with written response times, including around program launches, releases and cutovers.

Data Migration

Years of case and program records moved into Dynamics 365 CRM with their links intact: attachments, related records and legacy reference numbers.

Custom Development & Integrations

Integrations with departmental systems, legacy databases and portals, plus custom development and PCF controls where standard features fall short.

Legacy System Support

An older or inherited Dynamics CRM kept stable and documented, so the memberships and sponsor deals that run on it keep moving.

Staff Augmentation

Short of hands for a launch or a long project? One of our Dynamics 365 CRM or Power Platform people can sit inside your team until it is done.

Rescue & Recovery

An independent review of a stalled implementation, and a realistic plan to get it live without starting over.

Common Questions

Not seeing your question? Ask us.
In many cases, no. A lot can be done by fixing, connecting and extending what's already running, one stage at a time. Where we think a rebuild really is the better route, we'll tell you so and give you our reasons.
The people you decide on, and nobody else. A program officer has no reason to open files from someone else's program. Dynamics 365 CRM keeps them out using security roles and teams. The audit log records every change and who made it. We'll set this up around how your department is organized, and walk your security team through it before go-live.

Yes, and we expect to. We hook Dynamics 365 CRM up to departmental applications, older databases, document stores and portals. Whether that's done through Azure or Power Platform depends on what each system will allow. Anything that still does its job, we leave alone.

Yes. It's the bit we're fussiest about. After the move, each case should still point to its program and its attachments should open. Type in an old reference number and the record should come up. We reconcile the counts before cutover and have a fallback ready.

Yes. Before a launch we check the systems your team leans on hardest. After a release we keep a close eye on things. And while the intake window is open, you can reach us at any hour.
